In God I Trust... We Trust... What is that printed on? Ooooh! Say, that's the same and only thing that Politicians trust too. Why, it's the true "issue" that drives his/her campaign. I guess considering we know how they really get it and, ultimately, their political seat, Lobbyists for big oil, big auto, big defense, and big spending should print money stating, "In us you trust".
Everyone has an agenda, don't they? And agendas come with a cost. Maybe that visionary with good intentions lacks the one thing that REALLY runs the country. Maybe he/she believes they can suck on the lobbyist teet and still do some good... after all they're human too. Surely they ultimately want whats best for all classes of America right? Don't count on it.
Our economy is going to continue to degrade like our values have since we started selling our political souls to the real governing body of this world- the people with the money! Maybe the reason Obama didn't deliver on healthcare reform, alternative energy development, and others is because coal, oil and big medicine lined his campaign pocketbooks. Maybe Gee dubya left the child behind because someone else had more important things pushing him along. Maybe we need to trust in God again instead of rich men who hunger for more money and power.
Are we still in the greatest country in the world? Maybe. Probably. But we can't continue to be fooled by the Clintons, Bushes, Obamas, Palins (God help us) or whomever gives us the best lip service during their electoral campaigns. When is the last time you could find a person, a leader, who delivered... REALLY DELIVERED on the issues that were his or her platform?
It doesn't matter whether a candidate claims a blue or red party affiliation. It hopelessly seems that the party ALL political players truly affiliate with is the green party. THE REAL GREEN PARTY.
